My Wonderland , my studio .

Sorry for the long silence but life just keep holding me . Today I want to talk about my favourite place , my studio .

I have been collecting Dollfie Dream and 1:3 scale props and furniture for more than 8 years now , I slowly started to build temporary rooms for my girls . Then after many years I started to build my permanent diorama , which allowed me to make my photo stories more easily .

Before I had to ''build'' the rooms by placing the furniture on the floor , taking my pictures and removing everything to tidy up the place .

But it took me a lot of my time and energy , it is already a challenge to place your dolls in the right position and try to take good angles and the best lighting .... So I started building permanent dioramas in a corner of our basement , but it was soon to be the entire basement who became my studio ^_^

I collected all you can see in the dioramas from Antiques market , online auctions , forums where they were selling used doll furnitures. But also , every time I was going out I could find a jewelry box at Walmart that was a perfect size for a dresser , and many other little things I was surprised to find when I really started looking around with a passion .

It took me years to get everything but I am now satisfied with the results ! Finally !

Of course if you collect only 1:4 scale dolls like the Mini Dollfie Dream who are 45cm high , it is easier to find furniture because they can use American girl , My Twinn , Our Generation and many other companies who makes everything your little heart can dream of . But when you

step up to 60cm \ 1:3 scale dolls , you have to turn to the Internet and that can be costly . Some artisans make BJDs furniture now , but of course

it takes skills and time , so they can be expensive .

My tip for you , go to every Flee Markets and Salvation Army you can find and I'm sure you will find some gems ! I found a lot of things in flee markets .

My dioramas are built on Ikea tables , standard size 3'X6' ft , I store the clothing under and I don't have to break my back to take photographies .
